Position Summary:

 

The Marketing (Communications and Sales) Department is responsible for promoting the benefits of Casa de la Luz services to both direct referral sources and the community at large, as well as developing and maintaining long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The Marketing Coordinator, therefore, is responsible for coordinating various projects and programs, assisting the Communications and Sales teams in efforts to reach their targets and providing a range of support that contributes to the overall efficient operation of the Marketing Department.

  

Responsibilities

  1. Contributes to the Marketing Department’s mission and goals by coordinating programs and projects, such as:
    • Developing and executing community education presentations under the direction of the Communications and Sales Managers. Tasks include securing events, submitting paperwork, preparing handouts/PowerPoint presentations, keeping records of attendance and reporting on results.
    • Assisting with the planning, implementation, promotion and evaluation of special events/programs such as Coffee Club, physician dinners, National Healthcare Decisions Day, etc.
  2. Representing Casa de la Luz in a public relations/liaison capacity at outreach, referral and business events.
    • Provides administrative support to members of the Marketing Department in the following areas, and where necessary, creates new systems and processes to improve Marketing operations:
    • Operates a current calendar of all scheduled presentations/events and provides marketing support to speakers; keeps staff informed of upcoming activities.
    • Oversees inventory of Casa de la Luz collateral, promotional giveaways and other printed materials; coordinates ordering of new items as needed and track budget. 
    • Maintains media and advertising calendars including annual contracts; under direction of Communications Manager works with advertisers and contracted designers to coordinate/submit ad placements. 
    • As directed by Communications Manager, assists with updating and creating marketing/promotional materials, including Casa de la Luz website, newsletters and internal communication projects. 
    • Manages phone/email communications effectively and efficiently, including event registrations; responds to public inquires as directed.
  3. Serves as a member of the Marketing team and participates in team meetings.
  4. Represents Casa de la Luz in a professional manner, demonstrating excellent customer service.
  5. Maintains and enhances professional skills:
    • Demonstrates professional excellence through regular self-assessment of strengths, limitations and effectiveness.
    • Regularly seeks feedback and applies it to the improvement of individual performance.
    • Actively obtains new knowledge and learns new skills related to job.
    • Fulfills mandatory educational requirements.

Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree in field appropriate to area of assignment strongly preferred.
  2. Two years of administrative/coordinative program experience.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Outlook) and the Internet required. Knowledge of Adobe applications and WordPress preferred.
  4. Demonstrates professional demeanor at all times.
